The Doll

I have always been intrigued by animation. So I figured I would give it a try by creating a life sized depiction of the doll.
Character Animation with LightWave 6 played a large role, providing many tips on how to make a 3-D character. It also offers much more in depth explanations that will someday have the doll running across the screen, tearing things up, or both. Until then, I hope that the frozen image of this cute little guy ( that really just wants to cook for you) will be enough to get the point across!

TIP: Do what the book suggests!

Using what I had around the house, instead of what  the book suggested, I framed him up using 1X2s and screws. I then carved muscles out of the scrap wood and tacked them into place.

The head was also carved out of a 6X6 and hollowed to keep the weight down before being molded.

Above is the doll once he was completely molded using Joint Compound.
