Character Development

Writing can be challenging. There are so many things that must be developed. Details are essential and for a story, the detail of character development can be a very exhausting task. Though all the characters are fictional, I did use names of friends and family to depict a few.

The king of mischief. He has a way of finding trouble, or maybe trouble has a way of finding him.

Jeff has to make up for the lack of maturity in his life. He wants to take charge and do the right things, but like his father, sometimes trouble stalks after him.

The prince of mischief. He has a good heart and honestly means well, though he always wants to prove himself, no matter the cost.

Queen of crazy! She is loud and stubborn, but you have to love her for her honesty, sincerity, and boldness. You always know where you stand with her. She makes the world a better place. She is my favorite character.

Zolo was the most fun to develop. Everything about him is monumental. When I first started thinking about a Hougan and who could pass as one that is physically intimidating, only one person came to mind- Dennis Rodman.

Ruling over demons has to be like running a day care. You would have to be insane or mystical or both.

There are heroes and cowards. Chris is both. He will do anything to stay out of trouble, even swallow his pride and lie. His principles bring contrast to the boys attitudes, which allows for endless fun.

Brandon is the teenager who is not afraid of anything, even to express himself.

Who couldn't like Ripley? He is a super hero. He has saved many days just by doing the right thing.

It would be impossible for so much havoc not to gain attention of the police. Lawson is a cop who is deserving of the badge and gun.

There may not be any romance, yet, but I thought a little flirting would be nice. Young brings the hope of a future with her.

Samantha is an alcoholic who only thinks of her children after she's been drinking.

This world would not be the same without dry witted assholes. Warner is that asshole cop in charge, and good to know.

Dogs are such a blessing. They truly are man's best friends. Who else would stick by your side through the really thick? J.R. is sent to the boys in their darkest moment. I decided that a large Doberman would need to play his part. Dobermans are one of my favorite breeds, and misunderstood the most.

The demon within the doll , bringing evil cruelties and perversities that are sure to keep you up all night, even after you've put the book away.
